Parent & Child Dedication is a time for parents to publicly commit themselves to raise their children in the instruction and discipline of the Lord, to give opportunities to know God, and to establish a personal relationship with Christ.
It is a time for family and friends to show their support and intention to help these parents with their commitment to their children.
There is no "saving grace" attached to this ceremony. It is simply a statement of intent and desire.
